I had never rented from VRBO before, but based on the outstanding reviews of this property I decided to rent it for our family's 5-night stay in Jerusalem. Very glad I did. Sharon, the owner, was very responsive in advance to my inquiries. When we arrived in Jerusalem, she and her husband met us at the house and made us feel at home. Everything is exactly as described on the website and the reviews of other travelers. The location cannot be beat: as others have said, it is close to the Jaffa Gate, steps from the Mamilla shopping and a short walk to other parts of central Jerusalem (Ben Yehuda is about a 5 min. walk). The arches and other distinctive features of the house make you feel much more like you are staying in Jerusalem than you will at any hotel. Pictures of the front room do not do it justice: its high ceilings and built in daybeds under the arches make you feel as if you are living in a palace. Everything throughout the house works well and is easy to use and comfortable. The patio in front is a wonderful place to spend cool Jerusalem evenings. As others have said, there is a supermarket just up the hill, with a cart provided. All in all, a terrific rental experience and one I would gladly repeat on my next trip.

Lovely apartment (quiet neighborhood down a pedestrian street near the new Waldorf Astoria) within an 8-10 minute walk of the Jaffe Gate (Old City). Near a grocery store (Kosher) and lots of restaurants and the luxurious Mamilla Mall). Both the apartment and the owners were outstanding (owners speak fluent English and were remarkably helpful and easily reachable). Clean, convenient to everything important, Kosher, air conditioned (imperative in the summer months) and allows the renter to avoid the need to have a rental car. Cabs are everywhere and much less expensive then a car rental. I would not think of renting hotel rooms when the real value (and lovely expansive space) is available in an apartment rental such as this. There were 6 of us and the apt. was perfect.

“This place is spectacular!”
TRIP ADVISOR Reviewed August 12, 2011
My family stayed here during our two week trip to Isreal, and I can definately say this was by far the nicest place we stayed. The house is absolutely beautiful - just like the pictures, only better. Sharon was a pleasure to deal with - we had one bit of confusion with our dates, but she was so sweet and bent over backwards to make things work for us. The location of the house can not be beat. Is is walking distance to almost everywhere you would want to go. The Wall, and the old city are a five minute walk, as was shopping, restaurants, the Citadel. I could go on and on about how nice this place is, and for the price we paid, it was a steal! Don't hesitate - just book this place. You will be glad you did.

SHHHHHHH! Dont tell anyone this is Jerualem's best kept secret! Trip Advisor review 26th Jan 2010
I dont think there is a better location in the whole of Jerusalem for either of Sharon's two apartments near Malmilla Mall. Throw into the mix, a delightful owner who really cares about her clients, fabulous historic homes with every comfort and you have the recipe for a perfect stay in Jerusalem. Sharon answered all emails readily, met us as as arranged and gave wonderful advice above and beyond any hotel concierge. Her homes are lovingly restored and have a unique feel about them. being able to walk to every attraction was such a bonus. I cannot recommend these homes highly enough.

POSTED ON VRBO:We’ve stayed in Jerusalem before,in hotels and in vacation apartments, but this was a winner! The location is incredible, so close to Mamilla, the Old City and the kotel. We were celebrating a family event, and we had ample room in the huge salon, with its impressive arches and domed ceiling, for entertaining all the family, together with family and friends. We created quite an atmosphere. The kitchen was kosher – we needed that. There was wifi and even a phone with a US number – great to keep up with business back home. Bedrooms were comfortable. Had TV’s that we barely turned on - we were so busy. Oh, and the patio outside was wonderful..for some morning coffee and croissants. Sharon was a pleasure to deal with, from booking, to answering our questions about guides, restaurants etc. A great experience – we wouldn’t stay anywhere else from now on.

"An Excellent Apartment In The Heart of Jerusalem". Reviewed on Trip Advisor July 2015
There are many positive attributes that I could enumerate about this apartment-its size, the amenities including the kitchen, the large dining/living room that is perfect for a large family, and the building's charm. Those characteristics aside, this apartment could not be in a better location for travellers to Jerusalem who intend to spend time in the Old CIty and other points of interest. I recommend this apartment without reservation.

a lovely spot in the heart of jerusalem. easy walk to all jerusalem has to offer and lots of parks nearby. there is also a supermarket very close.the house itself is beautiful with high ceiling, nice kitchen, roomy bedrooms and a beautiful private courtyard which is a great place to have dinner in the evening. the bathrooms are nicely furnished.the owners are really nice and a pleasure to deal with.
if you want to see inner jerusalem by foot it is perfect
